Alliances

UMB

UMB collaborates with independent institutions established at Aas, as well as through national and international alliances with other institutions.

The collaboration focuses on research in particular and includes, among others, the following alliances:

· Food Science Alliance: UMB, The Norwegian Institute of Food, Fisheries and Aquaculture Research

· Alliance between UMB and Norwegian College of Veterinary Science (NVH)

· Triple alliance: UMB, NVH and University of Oslo (UiO)

· NOVA Agriculture and Fishery Management network and the NOVA University Network

· Norwegian Centennial Chair program
The purpose of this cooperation is to form Transatlantic Research Teams of scientists, undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Minnesota (UMN) and Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB)

· Strategic collaboration with cooperative farmer’s organisations: UMB/NVH and the Norwegian Farmer’s Association (Norges bondelag), the Norwegian Farmer’s and Small-holder Union (Norsk bonde- og småbrukarlag) and the Norwegian Agricultural Cooperative (Norsk landbrukssamvirke)
