Internet access from your SIÅS apartement

To get access to the internet from your SIÅS-flat you have to log on to this web-page to register your computer's network card: https://egeit.umb.no/studby. Log on with your username and zone-2 password.

It is only possible to register one physical address (MAC address) per flat. If you are several people living in the same flat and want more than one computer with internet access, you can buy a router or switch, and register this instead.

If your flat is unavailable: Make certain that you have the correct flat (check your SiÅs-contract). Then send an e-mail to us (dt@umb.no) with your name and flatnumber and we will release the previous registration.

If you do anything wrong during the process, you have to log out and log in again. The back and forth buttons don't work.

Enter your username in field (1) and your zone-2 password in field (2)

Here you have to choose language. Click on the Norwegian flag (1) for Norwegian or the British flag (2) for English.

You have to read and understand the IT-rules. To read the rules click at the link (1)

Then you have to click on (2) and on next, and go to the next page.

Here we need your MAC-adress. It is the physical adress of your network card.

Enter your MAC-adress here (2). The MAC-adress is not case sensitive.

Confirm your MAC-adress (3) and click next.

Here you check all the information you have given us, and you have to confirm that it is correct by clicking on (2) and press save.

Like the text says, you have registred your MAC-adress, and you can now log out.(1)

Your computer should be online within 30 minutes.
