NUFU and UMB

UMB has eleven projects under the 2007-2011 NUFU programme period and three running from 2008-2012 (one is a NUCOOP project in Sudan). Most NUFU projects have received a no-cost extension year and will terminate activities by 31 December 2012.

New programme after NUFU and NOMA
The new Norad-funded programme following NUFU and
NOMA, called
NORHED (Norwegian Programme for Capacity Building in Higher Education and Research for Development), will start with a call for seed money in the spring of 2012 and a call for proposals in the autumn of 2012. Further information will be available on the NORHED website in due course.
Coordination at UMB The institutional coordination of UMB projects under the NUFU agreement is done by
Joanna Boddens-Hosang in UMB's Research Department. The NUFU Coordinator keeps the Director of Research informed and briefs the UMB Research Committee (FON) once a year at a FON meeting.
