0 November 2010 - The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB), the University in Oslo (UiO) and the University of Minnesota (UMN), U.S.A., will be expanding collaboration activities within research and education under a new tri-partite agreement for strategic cooperation signed in Washington D.C. on 18 October.
The overall aim of HERD is to contribute to economic growth and social development through co-operation in higher education and research in the Western Balkans.

The second election was final. Professor Hans Fredrik Hoen is elected as Rector at UMB from the 1st of August 2010.
Candidate Ole Gjølberg got 39,60 % of the votes and Hans Fredrik Hoen got 32,79 of the votes. None of them got the necessary majority (50 %). A new election will be held from 19.4. at 12:00 to 21.4. at 12:00.
