UMB graduates in great demand

Henrik Mikkelsen

The financial recession does not appear to have lessened the business community's interest in UMB's Career Day on 22 October. It will be crowded when 55 companies and institutions meet 3000 students.

600 Bachelor's and Master's level students graduate from UMB each year. About halv of the Master's students write their theses in cooperation with the private and commercial sector.

Digital meeting place for companies and students This autumn, UMB's Business Liaison Office is cooperating with ideportalen.no - a net-based meeting place for companies and students at different levels - with the aim of strengthening contacts between the business sector and higher education by imparting information on student theses and summer jobs. The net place is free for all users.

The idea of ideportalen.no came from the university milieu at Trondheim. The Research Council of Norway and Innovation Norway supports this activitiy financially.
