Close to 700 participants from all over the globe were gathered at the conference, which included topics all over the range, from molecular biology to feed processing.

Younger scientist award
PhD student Thea Morken received the “Younger scientist award” for her poster and lecture entitled “Effect of sodium diformate and extruder temperature on nutrient digestibility in rainbow trout fed barley protein concentrate-based diets”.

The results presented in the lecture are based on an experiment carried out at Bozeman, Montana, in cooperation with the US Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Research Service, ADDCON Nordic AS and APC.

Best poster
Scientist Vegard Denstadli received the award for “Best poster”, in competition with almost 400 posters. The poster, entitled “Enzyme pretreatment of high fibre plant ingredients and effects on feed utilization in rainbow trout” is based on an experiment conducted in Denmark, in a cooperative effort between BioMar, DSM Nutritional Products and Novozymes.
