Janne Brodin (English translation Ane Skjelfjord)

”Animal Welfare Initiative Norway” is the result of a cooperative effort between NVH, National Veterinary Institute (VI) and Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB)

Interest in animal welfare is on the increase all over the globe.

Consumers are concerned about animal welfare in food production, and the authorities, those involved in animal production, the food industry and grocery stores all have expectations for improvements in animal welfare.

Scientists step up to develop new knowledge on animal welfare

To this effect, ”Platform Animal Welfare” (NVH/VI/UMB) offers its own program of lectures as well as a photographic exhibition on animal welfare during Forskningsdagene 2010.
