Janne Karin Brodin
On Friday 4th September 2009, Odd Vangen was appointed Honorary Doctor of the University of Kaposvar in Hungary. The presentation of the doctorate by the University’s Senate took place in connection with the celebration of the start of the University’s academic year.
Professor Vangen has among other things been a guest lecturer, supervised a PhD student and has had project collaboration with this university, which is famous for having one of the largest diagnostic centres in the world, using MR (magnetic resonance) and CT (computer tomography) machines both in connection with human medicine and with animal science (Kaposvar Diagnostic Center).
This unit was financed by the World Bank, and professor Vangen has been invited to this centre several times, due to his competence on CT, and because the IHA’s CT unit was the first in the world within its field.
