Animal and Aquacultural Sciences

Practical information for students at IHA

Information regarding study hall seats, computer room, group study rooms, library, access to main building etc.


Study hall seats
Skoggården, close to the main building, has study hall places for students. Final year Masters students may ensure permanent places.

Computer room
IHA has a computer room for students. There are 20 places with Internet computers. There is also a combined printer/photocopier, payable with a student ID card. Ten new computers were installed in Skoggården in January 2004.

Rooms for group studies
There are 5 rooms available for group studies at IHA (nr.: 027, 028, 030, 031 and 053 ).

Library
UMB has a national library for Agricultural Sciences. IHA also has a library with literature regarding Domestic Animal and Aquacultural Sciences. Masters theses are also available and IHA subscribes to many relevant publications. All students may borrow books from the library.

Access to IHA and Skoggården
Students will receive after hours access to IHA and Skoggården by activating their card as a key-card.
Contact Elisabeth in reception or Maya/Marit at the study office in IHA.

Animal Production Experimental Centre (SHF)
IHA cooperates closely with the Animal production experimental centre. Many Masters students conduct their fieldwork at SHF, and many courses include practical exercises in various domestic animal sections.
Senter for Husdyrforsøk (In Norwegian)

Fôrtek
HA cooperates with Fôrtek about teaching in Master Feed Manufacturing Technology.

Akvaforsk
IHA cooperates with Nofima-Marin about teaching in cources in Aquaculture.
