IMT researchers in geosciences participate in a new Nordice Center of Excellence

Ingunn Burud

A research group at IMT, lead by Cecilie Rolstad, is part of the nordic project NCoE SVALI (Stability and Variations of Arctic Land Ice).

The IMT researchers  will study basic processes using remote sensing, airborne and in-situ measurements, and carry out advanced Earth System Modelling with focus on glaciers in the Arctic/North-Atlantic area. The project is finances at a Nordic Center of Excellence. Ultimately, the center will form a common foundation for international collaboration of Nordic scientists in cryospheric research.
