I arrived to UMB on December 1st, 2009, to be part of the Project “From Biomass to Biogas” implemented by the IMT. In my PhD research fellow position I will be covering the aspects related to biogas optimization methods, testing different materials as well as pre and post treatment optimization techniques. My background is Chemical Engineering and I have been living in Denmark for about two years, where I studied a Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Management that also took me to other two European countries, Germany and England. My master thesis concerned Biogas production, the Danish platform and the sustainability of its application to Uruguay, my home country. I truly believe that the transfer of knowledge and technology between nations is the key for achieving a sustainable future.I am very excited about moving to Norway, I find it a fascinating country and I hope I will have enough time to discover it.
