Nsa Dada
, is a PhD fellow at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, where she is currently working on the “Link between Diarrhea and Dengue in Southeast Asia”. The project is aimed at accessing health risks associated with household water storage by identifying relationships between household water management, contaminated drinking water and mosquito production in household water containers.Born and brought up in Nigeria, Nsa obtained her B.Sc. in Zoology from the University of Calabar, and an M.Sc. in Biology & Control of parasites and Disease Vectors from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, University of Liverpool. With a strong passion for sustainable development and specific interests in the control (and eradication) of Neglected Tropical diseases (NTDs) she has worked on Soil-transmitted Helminths in Sierra Leone where results of her project identified treatment priority areas based on WHO guidelines http://www.lstmliverpool.ac.uk/about/communications/documents/Tropical_09_v4.pdf, she has also assisted in a project to investigate the transmission of lymphatic filariasis in Sierra Leone, and is currently off to Thailand and Laos to  begin her PhD field work. She says coming to Norway is a great opportunity to expand her knowledge in sustainable development and she is positive that her research project will lead to the development of integrated control strategies for the control of water-borne diseases (dengue and diarrhea) which will at the long run contribute positively towards the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
