The 2012 International Fulbright Science and Technology Award is now open for applications. Grantees will be enrolled for Ph.D. study at top U.S. universities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) beginning in fall 2012 for academic year 2012-2013.
The Award allows grantees, known as Fulbright Science and Technology Fellows, to take part in a very prestigious academic exchange program in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)-focused fields. For more information, go to:

1. aeronautics and aeronautical engineering
2. agriculture (theoretical or research-based focus only)
3. astronomy/planetary sciences
4. biology
5. biomedical engineering

9. engineering (electrical, chemical, civil, industrial,
mechanical, ocean, and petroleum)
10. environmental science/engineering (theoretical or science
research-based focus only)
11. geology/earth and atmospheric sciences
12. information sciences and systems (engineering focus only)
13. materials science/engineering
14. mathematics
15. neurosciences
16. oceanography
17. public health (biostatistics or epidemiology)
18. physics
