The department has a broad and varied field of research. INA shall undertake both multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research, as well as discipline orientated research.

Research groupsThe aim of the research groups is mainly to contribute to the associates research identity and development. It is also a place for idea development and creation of new research projects. At the department there are eight research groups:
