SCAPE, The Scandinavian Association for Pollination Ecologists, organises annual meetings for ecologists working with pollination, plant reproductive biology and other related fields.

The meeting is open to participants from all countries and the number of nationalities and participants from outside the Nordic countries have steadily increased during the last years.

The meeting is specially targeted to let master and PhD-students present their work and get high-quality feedback in a friendly environment.

SCAPE 2012 is organized by the Department of Ecology and Natural Resource Management, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Centre for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis (CEES), Department of Biology, University of Oslo and Sogn og Fjordane University College.

The meeting will take place October 25-28th at Skjærhalden in Hvaler municipality, southeast Norway.

Venue
The venue for this year’s great happening for the Scandinavian and the World’s pollination ecologists will be Skjærhalden Sjøbuer. It is located on the island Kirkøy and is a part of Ytre Hvaler National Park.

Accommodation will be in apartments for 4- 6 people (1-person rooms are available at higher prices). The conference fee, covering also food and accommodation will be about 3000 NOK or approximately €400.

Programme
SCAPE 2012 will start on Thursday afternoon (18.00) with dinner.

Friday will be packed with interesting talks from early morning until the evening. There will be a longer break after in the afternoon to allow for some out-door activities. The conference-dinner will be held on Saturday evening, followed by social interactions.
