In loving memory of their friend
Lise Thoen
Last tuesday evening Kanchan Karki’s family and friends held a personal memorial ceremony in remembrance of their good friend. Kanchan Karki was hit by lightning on July 3. and died later from the injuries that he suffered.
Kanchan Karki’s brother and close friends held the memorial ceremony by the oak tree where Kanchan was hit by lightning. The bark of the oak tree had severe damages after the massive impact from the lightning that hit down through the tree and into the ground below. The solid tree trunk had been decorated by pictures of Kanchan Karki and during the ceremony people put down flowers and lit candles by the foot of the tree.
