Publishing is a key element of the research process. The staff and PhD students publish regularly in journals, books, and internal series. Below is a list of the major publication channels, with links to the detailed list of publications. If the full-text versions are not available on the Web, hard copies can in most cases (normally not for books) be obtained by contacting the author directly.

Journal Articles

Articles in international journals with referees are considered the prime vehicle for publication.

Books and book chapters

Reports
The departments report series include research reports and commissioned work, and is normally the final product of a project.

Working Papers
The working paper series includes draft scientific papers, often being the first step towards journal (or book chapter) publication.

PhD Theses
Theses accepted for defence by PhD students in the department.

Other external publications
This category will include reports, discussion papers etc. published by other institutions than UMB.

Presentations and lectures
Presentations and lectures by staff members that may be of wider interest.

Publication search
Link to the BIBSYS database, which contains information about publications from Norwegian universities and research institutes.
