The English programme gives the students a good basis in economic theory and methodology and hands on experience with modern analytical tools and computer software. The programme is policy-oriented with special emphasis on rural development, management of renewable natural resources and trade.
You can apply for the programme if you hold a relevant Bachelors degree in Economics, or after three years at a College in Norway with the main subjects in Economics
The Master programme takes 2 years of full time studies, giving a total of 120 ECTS units (120 study points) including the Master Thesis of 30 ECTS (30 study points). A minimum 45 study points must be at the 300 level. Some intermediate courses and the course ECN350 - Development and Environment are mandatory.
