    - FAO
    provides a very good documentation service with access to full text documents and statistical data. Browse the site from the menu on the left hand side of the screen, or search from the search button on top of this menu.
    - Urban agriculture notes
    A well developed and easy to navigate collection of documents on urban agriculture in developed and developing countries.

    •  Bookstores 
    - NHBS Mailorder Bookstore
    "...thousands of titles describing and explaining the amazing diversity of the natural world - field guides, textbooks, monographs, reports, CDs, videos, and cassettes on every environmental subject".
    - Norwegian Library House (NLH)
    A bookstore specialising in services to libraries, but you can also order books for private use from NLH.

    •  Common property
    - CPR Virtual Library of Common Pool Resources
    This site holds a searchable database on common pool resources (ca. 16,000 references), online articles, and other CPR related links. Provided by the International Association for the Study of Common Property (IASCP).

     •  Conservation
    - World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC)
    Recognised as a centre of excellence in the location and management of information on the conservation and sustainable use of the world's living resources. Provides datasets, maps, and full text sources of information.
    - IUCN-The World Conservation Union  
    On IUCN's activities and internal. Database of IUCN documents and publications.

    •  Country specific links/maps
    Countries at a glance: data & statistics
    Tables from the World Bank present two pages of key indicators tracing the trends in social and economic development over the last three decades. Links to other comprehensive sites containing data organised by country.
    - Country Studies
    A continuing series of books prepared by the U.S. Library of Congress. This online series presently contains studies of more than 100 countries.
    - Perry-Castañeda Library Map Collection
    Holds a variety of maps on its own server and links to maps on other web sites.
    - The World Fact Book
    Brief factual information on all countries in the world provided by CIA.

    •  International organisations
    -
    Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). The Secretariat as well as the individual centres provide very important access points to recent trends in international agricultural research.
    - United Nations
    This is the central UN WWW-server. It also guides you to UN around the world.
    - The World Bank Group
    For the most recent information on the World Bank's policy and activities. The site may be difficult to navigate; remember to use the search option on the home page. Full text of WB reports are found at World Development Sources. 

    •  Relief and development
    - ODI Humanitarian Practice Network (HPN)
    A forum for exchange of information on relief and rehabilitation in conflict, post-conflict, and disaster situations. Abstracts or full text of their publiations, of which most are available in the Noragric library.
    - ReliefWeb
    A project of the UN Department of Humanitarian Affairs (DHA). Current information on relief and humanitarian actions. A good collection of maps and links to background documents by country and sector.
