HOW TO APPLY? -----------------------------------------------------------
• Applicants with a
Norwegian secondary education of foreign secondary education, who
meet the Norwegian language requirements, must apply through Samordna Opptak see
http://info.samordnaopptak.no/ (samordna opptak).
Deadline for application is
April 15th 2008.
• Applicants with a
foreign secondary education who
do not meet the Norwegian language requirement should apply directly to UMB. How to apply for the Bachelor programme in Development studies see
http://www.umb.no/statisk/study_options/admission/bachelorskjema_2008.pdf (Application for admission 2008).
These applicants must meet the minimum requirement for entrance to higher education in Norway and fulfil the language requirements in English.

ADMISSION RQUIREMENTS AT NORAGRIC -----------------------------------------------------------

Admission requirement for Bachelor in Development studies Generell studiekompetanse.
Mathematics (2MX) and Chemistry (2KJ) is not a requirement for admission, but is highly recommended for some of the different study structures. It is possible to take preliminary courses in math and chemistry parallel or in addition to the studies.
2.
Admission requirements for the Master programmes at Noragric Development Studies A bachelor degree, a Norwegian can.mag. degree, or an equivalent degree in a relevant field is required for admission, for example political science, education, anthropology, sociology, resource management, economic and journalism.
International Environmental Studies A bachelor degree or equivalent education in a relevant field is required for admission. Depending on your planned specialisation, your background may be from environmental science, resource management, economics or social science.
