Ass. Prof. Ingrid Nyborg interviewed for a chronicle in forskning.no

Evy Jørgensen

In connection with further engagement by UMB in supporting Pakistan in a sustainable way after the major earthquake, Ingrid Nyborg has been interviewed by T. Solem at forskning.no for the chronicle "Pakistans kunnskapskatastrofe" (Competence catastrophe in Pakistan). (Sept. 9; In Norwegian).

There are many ways to promote the progressive growth of the economy and social conditions of earthquake victims in Pakistan. In order to help people to recover, and be better prepared for tackling similar difficulties in the future, we can, beyond the physical aspects, give our support in the form of competence about how to interact and support local community institutions. "Both physical and social processes are of great importance for rebuilding the country", she emphasises.
