Establishing economic institutions and introducing emission quota for every Norwegian

Webmaster

An interview with Prof. Arild Vatn (Dagsavisen 17.12.2007; in Norwegian). Read more...

Prof. A. Vatn emphasizes the urgency of the climate crisis and the need to evaluate major restrictions on the use of oil, closing down companies that don't fulfil stringent demands on emissions, as well as introducing individual CO2-quota for every single Norwegian citizen.

Arild Vatn's main expertise is in institutional and ecological economics. He is the current president of the European Society of Ecological Economics and head of the board for the research programme ‘Environment 2015’ (under the Norwegian Research Council).
