Paul Vedeld in expert committee assessing economic value of Norway's biodiversity

Joanna Boddens-Hosang

Together with 11 other members with relevant scientific experience, and led by the director of the Federation of Norwegian Industries (Norsk Industri) Stein Lier-Hansen, the group will assess the value of Norway's biodiversity in order to better understand the economic benefits of a well-functioning nature and the services it renders.

The secretariat of the committee is based at the Norwegian Ministry of the Environment. A report on the committee's findings is expected in the autumn of 2013.
