Thor Heyerdahl International Day at UMB

On Monday 27 June UMB and the Thor Heyerdahl Institute arranged a lecture and lunch to mark the Thor Heyerdahl International Day 2011.


The Thor Heyerdahl International Speech was given by Nobel Prize winner 2009 Professor Elinor Ostrom, Indiana University, USA. Theme: "A polycentric approach to climate change?" For background information please follow this link.

Noragric hosts the Thor Heyerdahl professorship which was awarded to Professor Arild Vatn in 2008. A Thor Heyerdahl Summer School in Environmental Governance will be held from 20 June - 1 July 2011 at UMB. For information on the Thor Heyerdahl Institute please see their website.
