NOVA PhD course in Plant Pathology 2011

Plant diseases; from survival to epidemics, and management strategies.Food, fiber and other plant-based materials are a key part of our daily lifestyle, but this plant-based production is often plagued by plant diseases.  To reduce the losses due to plant pathogens, the knowledge obtained by studying plant diseases is critical. Joint Nordic PhD courses in plant pathology related topics have been given since 1980. These courses form a core for PhD education in plant pathology in the Nordic countries and have provided a depth that would not have been possible if the courses were given by a single university. The 25th Nordic PhD course in Plant Pathology, will be arranged by UMB in 2011, and the title is: “Plant diseases; from survival to epidemics, and management strategies”. Time allowed for entries is 1st of February 2011.
