UMB will conduct a large candidate survey in 2010 in coorporation with Opinion AS. The purpose of this survey is to get an overview of the final candidates' worklife affiliation and their assessment of their education at UMB.
The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB) has defined clear objectives for its quality assurance system: The system shall guarantee that students spend their time at UMB effectively and receive an education of high academic quality. This is a presentation of the status and preparation for Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education's (NOKUT) evaluation of UMB’s quality assurance system for educational activities (KSU) in the spring 2010. Approved KSU = continued authority to initiate new courses = of high importance to UMB
UMB's study programmes has since 2003 been externally evaluated at regular intervals in five year cycle. Many programmes have been through the evaluation (per 2009) but not all programmes. An international external committee evaluates the programmes and the results are used further in the departments' and UMB's quality work.
UMB has an agreement with QuestBack allowing students attending semester based courses at UMB, free, time-limited access to QuestBack’s survey system. This means that all students attending UMB can use the QuestBack survey system during their education.
