Examiner Answers are evaluated by a group of examiners consisting of the teacher and external examiners. A random selection of candidates is evaluated indiviually by all examiners, and becomes the basis of an evaluation conference where a common level of evaluation is established.

Note  
Students who wish to take JUS201 and JUS100 in parallell should follow all lectures in JUS100 from the start.
   
Objective of course  

The course should provide the students with an understanding of how executive work is done, and the students should become able to assess the limits of the admistrative authority.

The students should become familiar with the main features of the administration's composition and measures, hereunder division of tasks and authority of local and central administration. The students should acquire a good understanding of central rules of procedure, hereunder the rules on preparatory proceedings, impartiality, right of access and right of appeal. The course should also provide the students with a good understanding of the framework for the administration's exercise of judgment, and the students should become familiar with how the public authorities combine administrative decisions and contract mechanisms in order to achieve their goals.

   
Course contents  
Lectures on administrative law and some local authority law. In the lectures there will be emphasis on practical examples related to UMB's academic areas. There will be arranged for voluntary assignments with review in plenary. Group work is not compulsory, but recommended.
