At the Matriculation ceremony, the Rector welcomes students who have not previously been admitted to an institution of higher education in Norway.

This year, only new first-year students on the following study programmes will be matriculated at the ceremony:
- bachelor,
- five-year master,
- two-year English master,
- one-year introductory studies

The Rector and the President of the Student Board amongst others will give addresses. There will also be musical interludes during the ceremony.
