SEMESTER FEES

Studieavdelingen

UMB Student Registration

For each semester you study at UMB, you have to pay a semester fee at the University Foundation for Student lIfe at UMB (SiÅs)or another Norwegian student association (jfr.§17 Forskrift om  studentsamskipnader, 2008-07-22-828.).

The SiÅs semester fee kr. 340 must be paid with a special bank giro credit slip. Deadlines for payment of semester fees are: 10. Sept./10. Feb. For students entitled to student loans: loans are not issued before you have payed the semester fee.

On the bank giro credit slip you will find your pincode needed for registration. Take care of the pincode. You have to register. Have your educational plan approved, and register for exams (minimum one). Deadlines: 15. Sept/15. Feb. If your Registration is complete, Semester Card will be sent to you after maximum 4 days. If you not have received the semester card, please contakt the Student Info Centre.

Please be aware that you will need a new KID-code for each semester. Newly admitted students (registration for the first time) will receive a bank giro credit slip in the mail. The semester fee kr. 340 includes NOK 20 for the Norwegian Students' and Academics' International Assistance Fund (SAIH). Additional information about SAIH is included on the bank giro credit slip.

Students who have previously paid the fee to SiÅs, and have registered at UMB, can go to www.studweb.no at the end of the semester to find the necessary payment instructions for the following semester.

If you have already paid the semester fee to another student association than SiÅs, please contact the Student Info Centre.
