Update on Flood Relief Activities in Pakistan Thursday 5th of May
Nora Svenson Paus
Representatives from Pakistan are coming to UMB 5th of May to give an update on the Flood Relief Activities in Pakistan.
In September 2010 a group of students formed a committée called Students for Pakistan (see link below) in order to collect money to a Flood Relief project initiated by students in UMB's sister university COMSATS in Pakistan. They organized different activities fund raising activities including flee market, raffle ticket sale, cake sale and auction. Now Pakistani students are coming here to tell how the project has been going since the autumn and what is happening today.
Join us on Thursday, May 5th at 10am at the Thor Larsen attic (top floor) at Noragric (the Tivoli building), for an update of the relief work UMB has contributed to in Pakistan. Dr. Bahadar Nawab, a former UMB student, will make a presentation and there will be a discussion of possible student involvement in their work.
All are welcome!
