Master in Feed Manufacturing Technology

The 2 years study programme in Feed Manufacturing Technology (FT) is one of two english master programmes at Department of Animal and Aquacultural Sciences. All courses will be in English, and the class consists of students from different countries from all over the world.

This programme is unique in Norway and also in Europe. The lectures and the laboratory experiments are in cooperation with Centre for Feed Technology, Department of Mathematical Sciences and Technology (IMT) and Department of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Science (IKBM).

Feed manufacturing is an enormous global industry, and this needs expertice of feed manufacturing technology for maximum use of limited feed resources.

The programme focuses on topics aimed at understanding key processes and processing equipment, feed ingredients and feed formulation. While this industry traditionally has been based on practical experience, emphasis on this study will also be on understanding the principles in feed technology as a basis for improvement of existing technology.
