We represent some comments of their experience from UMB and recommendations from former student in EM-ABG
Binyam Sime Dagnachew - Ethiopia
I am working as a PhD fellowship researcher in the Department of Animal and Aquacultural Sciences, UMB with title ” Multivariate analysis in Animal breeding and genetics”. The knowledge and skills I have gained through the study are key parts of my day to day work. My involvement in EM-ABG also provided me opportunities and network to work with credited professionals in the field which has been very inspiring for me. Few years ago, Animal Breeding and Genetics (ABG) evolve in new way with the merge of molecular techniques and the need for trained professionals in the field has grown.
During my stay in UMB, I have found the student and academic environment very interesting and it is one of my reasons for considering UMB as a place for my PhD study. Since participating in EM-ABG could lead to different specializations, I advise prospective students to figure out what they want to do as early as possible which will simplify their choice of course combination.

Comments about study:
The research topic I work with i my master thesis was improtant for me and helpful for my future career. In general my previous study at UMB was phenomenal; I was equipped with lots of things. And that does make me to be competitive for the job position I have right now as a research fellow.
Hao An - ChinaResearcher in a project at Netreco Swine Research Center at The Netherlands. In my work the statistical theories and methods for data analysis, and experience of using Computer-based statistical tools are espesially useful.
The content of most courses that I have followed offered me sufficient depth of knowledege and opportunities for exercise and application. I feel happy when I did my thesis work under supervision of Prof. Odd Vangen. And during that, many people helped me out in IHA building. They were kind, careful and patient.
