Application for non-degree studies

If you live in Norway and have an 11 digit Norwegian identification number, please continue reading this page. If you are a resident outside Norway, please read our pages regarding Free Movers here.


It is possible to apply for non-degree studies two times per year.

Application deadlines:
1 June: For courses in the August block and autumn paralel
1 December: For courses in the January block, spring paralel and June block.

How to apply:
Application for non degree studies is done through Søknadsweb. Please log in with your 11 digit personal number and your own 4 digit pin code. If you have any questions or problems with this, please contact the Student Information Centre.


Please remember to check the admission requirement for the courses that you intend to take, to make sure that you choose the correct study option.

Study options:
Please note that the study options only give access to courses taught in English.

Application code 1506: Admission requirement: minimum entrance requirement set by NOKUT.

Application code 1507: Admission requirement: minimum entrance requirement set by NOKUT plus special requirements in science. Please ask the admissions office if you have questions regarding the science requirement.

The application process.
A few days after you have applied, you will receive a document cover and some information from the admissions office in the mail. You are supposed to sign the document cover and use it to submit your educational documents. Please return this to the admissions office as soon as possible and no later than the deadline that is stated on the front page of the document cover. 
If you are admitted, you will be able to sign up for courses on Studentweb. You will have more information about this if you are admitted. It is not possible to sign up for courses before you have been admitted as a student.
