Bachelor's Programme

Department of Academic Affairs

UMB currently offers one Bachelor's programme in English.

- International Environment and Development Studies

- Application form: Admission Bachelor's programme (pdf)

Application deadline is: February 01

Admission is based entirely on academic results. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements for entrance to higher education in Norway according to NOKUT:

NOKUT's minimum requirements for admission to higher education in Norway.
The requirements are depending on the country in which you did your secondary education.

- All applicants are further required to document proficiency in English language.
Applicants whose first language is not English are normally obliged to provide the results of either the TOEFL test with a score of 500 or better for a paper-based test, 170 or better for a computer-based test, and 60 or better for an internet-based test, or the IELTS test with an overall band score of 5.0 or better.

Applicants from European countries are eligible for admission upon achievement of the same secondary school graduation certificate that provides the basis for admission to university studies in the home country.

Entrance requirements for applicants from non-European countries may include one or two years of university studies in addition to secondary school.

If applications are received within the deadline and the applicant is approved for admission, accommodation on campus is guaranteed.

The application must include a copy of the applicant’s passport and a copy of her/his university transcript. Please note, however, that an admission letter will only be issued once UMB has received an original university transcript sent directly to UMB in a sealed envelope from the applicant’s university.
