Language requirements

Dept of Academic Affairs

The language requirement is higher for admission to the Master programme than to the English Bachelor prgramme.


For admission to a Bachelor programme, the following applies:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 500 for a paper based test, or minimum 60 on an internet-based test.

- International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) with a minimum score of 5.0.

- For alternative documentation please se the Language requirements from NOKUT - the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.

For admission to a Master`s programme, the following applies:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 550 for a paper based test, or minimum 80 on an internet-based test.

- International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.0.

- For alternative documentation please se the Language requirements from NOKUT - the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.

For admission as an exchange student the language requirement is regulated by the exchange agreement.
